Anything in Personal is only yours. Anything in Workspace is visible to the people in that workspace. Direct messages are visible to the people in them. Agents act with the access of the person talking to them, and in shared channels they use only what the workspace shares.Does Overlay train models on my data?
Overlay does not train models on your content. Your messages go to the model provider you pick, and each provider has its own retention settings; the privacy policy has the details.Why didn’t the AI find my file?
- Large documents take a moment to be read after upload.
- Check the scope: in a shared channel, agents see only Workspace items, not your Personal ones.
- Name the file in your question (“in the Q3 plan, what is…”).
How do I delete a memory?

Some features need a paid workspace (web search, the browser, computers, Overlay Cloud agents, scheduled automations). Some depend on your role, or on settings an owner or admin controls. Self-hosted Overlay can also turn features off.How do I delete my account?
On your account page (Settings → Account), choose Delete account and typeDELETE to confirm. This permanently deletes your account and your chats, notes, files, memories, automations and connected apps. It cannot be undone.
