Plans belong to workspaces, not people. Everyone working in a workspace uses that workspace’s plan, and your own account is never charged. Current prices are on the pricing page.

Free workspaces

A free workspace includes Work, chats, notes, files and memories, with the Auto model and a weekly allowance of chat turns shared by everyone in the workspace. Storage is limited to 10 MB. Web search, the browser, computers and Overlay Cloud agents show up but answer that they need a paid plan. A person can own up to three free workspaces. A paid plan is any whole-dollar amount from $8 to $500 a month. That amount becomes the month’s credit, which pays for everything the workspace uses: models, web search, browser tasks, image and video generation, transcription, computers and Overlay Cloud agents.
  • Credit resets at each renewal. Unused credit and top-ups do not carry over.
  • Top-ups add credit for the rest of the month, also from $8 to $500.
  • Overlay Cloud agents also need at least $1 of credit left to start their computer.
Owners and admins add a plan from Settings → Workspace → Billing → Add a plan. Members can add top-ups when the workspace allows it.

When credit runs out

By default, a paid workspace that reaches $0 stops its paid features until next month. Free features keep working, and nothing more is charged. An owner or admin can switch to automatic top-ups under Billing → When credit runs out: choose an amount and a monthly limit, and Overlay charges the workspace’s card when credit runs out, never past that limit in a month. Owners and admins get an email if the limit is reached.

Billing → Usage this period lists what the workspace spent on each kind of usage, per model for chats, with the total and the days left in the cycle. Invoices and the payment method are under Manage billing.
