The Chats page holds every conversation you are part of. Under Personal are your own AI chats. Under Workspace are:
  • Direct messages with a teammate or a small group.
  • Channels, open to everyone in the workspace or to the people you add.
  • Activity, the latest replies and mentions across your conversations.
Chats with a single agent live under that agent on the Agents page instead. See Agents.

Start a chat

  1. Choose New on the Chats page.
  2. Type your message. Press Enter to send and Shift+Enter for a new line.
  3. Pick a model from the model picker below the message box, or keep the one you used last.
To bring an agent into a direct message or channel, mention it with @ and its name. It answers when mentioned.

Models

The model picker groups models by provider, with the strongest first. Star a model to keep it under Favorites. Small icons show which models can read images and which reason before answering. Free workspaces use Auto, which picks a free model for you, within a weekly limit. A paid workspace can use every model, charged to its credit. See Plans and credit.

Attachments

Drag files onto the message box or use the attach button. Images go to models that can read them; documents are read as text. Attached files are saved in Files, so you can refer to them later.

While the AI works

  • Tool calls fold into one Worked for… row above the answer. Click it to see each step.
  • When a tool needs your permission, an approval card appears. The chat continues once you allow or deny it.
  • Choose Stop to end a reply early. Hover a message for copy, retry, edit and delete.

Find an old chat

Search from the top of the Chats list, or press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) to search chats, files and notes together. Archived chats are under Settings → Archived.
