# System requirements

> Supported Macs and runtime requirements.

| Requirement | Supported                                                |
| ----------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| Chip        | Apple Silicon (`arm64`) only                             |
| OS          | Recent macOS versions supported by current Electron      |
| Disk        | Enough space for the app + optional local models/helpers |
| Network     | Required for sign-in, hosted models, sync, billing       |
| Node.js     | 22+ when building from source                            |

**Not supported:** Intel Macs, Windows, Linux desktop UI, running the Electron
app inside Docker.
