# Security reporting

> How to report Overlay Desktop vulnerabilities.

Report vulnerabilities privately using the process in
[SECURITY.md](https://github.com/LayerNorm/overlay-desktop/blob/main/SECURITY.md)
on the desktop repository (and the corresponding policy on Overlay Web for
server issues).

Do **not** open public issues with exploit details, private audit reports, or
proofs of concept.
